Test Broadcasting Overview

1940's Radio has been pulled together by a group of enthusiast with no radio experience and we aim to have a scheduled service in place by November 2016. We are currently in the position of being able to broadcast a reliable stream and a rough production but we are improving daily.

After a busy few days setting up a stable broadcasting environment things are coming together and we are raising the bar.


We Have Beaten the Beep Hour Marker Issue

By allowing 6 seconds for the sound file and 15 seconds for streaming the hourly directive was set for the beeps at 39 seconds and we sat back and waited patiently. To our absolute delight they “Beeped” right on cue and consequently been ticked off the “To Do” list which is shrinking daily.


First Big Broadcast Test

Hour Long Glenn Miller Test Broadcast

We know it has all looked quiet on the western front but we have been busy testing our scheduling software and adding relative content to the broadcast material. The culmination of this experience is being broadcast tonight with an hour long Glenn Miller tribute complete with period advertising.
