Lesson 2 – 24/04/2018

A register was now place made up from last week’s attendees and although there was a small drop in numbers there was still a very healthy turnout.

Our instructors quickly took control from the stage and we had a recap on last week’s lessons which sort of agreed with what we had been practicing at home, but at this stage had no point of reference.

However this was rectified towards the end of the evening’s class where we were allowed to video the instructors demonstrating the complete sequence. Please note the video was allowed for personal use only and not for re-distribution.

The Jockey

The Jockey was another addition to the Rock Step sequence and allowed for a change of direction with a few twirls now thrown in for good measure. The lesson itself consisted of a similar amount of steps to the previous week and combined with the Rock Step we now have something to allegedly find our way around the floor with.

Dance Your Way to Fitness

My wife and I have three super fit international circus performers for sons with strict diets to match, and It seems the collective were not over impressed with my eating habits. As a consequence, my years of slovenly diet were unknowingly transformed with the stealth elimination of meat and dairy by “she who must be obeyed”. This healthier eating eventually took off five stone without any real hardship, but that also came with muscle tone issues.

Picking the Right Exercise

Simple light exercise addresses this issue and although once a keen runner I now have more respect for my knees so I needed to find a sustainable alternative. Swimming was my first thought but that would exclude “she who must be obeyed”, and it was time we found an outside interest together. Having recently undertaken a cracking joint venture with JustJive.Com their enthusiasm was just the inspiration I was looking for.

Tune into 1940s Radio BroadcastsComing your way on 1940s Radio

1940s Radio was formed by a group of enthusiasts who enjoyed the music and began an online stream so they could listen to great tunes and share a mutual hobby in the process. As many of you know things have become somewhat busier and we have had a lot of learning to do maintaining a service that people now regularly listen to and depend on.

More Spit and Polish

Although not yet apparent we have been cleaning up our act behind the scenes and some of you may have noticed little changes like regular time checks. The general auditing of the music archives is also an on-going process but this now allows us to stream track data showing title and artist (With the odd mistake perhaps).
